Navigate · Practice

Bring one real conversation. Find its next believable step.

You may have an idea that matters and still struggle to help others see what you see. Navigation brings curiosity into preparation and practice: understand the people involved, explore the belief gap, and learn from what happens when the conversation begins.

Begin here

Name the belief gap.

Choose one person or audience and an actual conversation ahead of you. In your own notes, answer:

  1. What does this person believe now?
  2. What do you hope they might believe after your conversation?
  3. What portion of that distance could this conversation responsibly cross?

Mark anything you have assumed. Those assumptions are places to ask a question before offering an explanation.

Prepare, listen, and refine

Map the next conversation.

These movements help you prepare while leaving room for discovery. A real conversation may circle back or reveal a different starting point.

01

Interest

Earn the next moment.

What question, experience, or possibility could make this person choose to give you their attention?

02

Relevance

Enter their world.

Why would this matter to them? Connect the idea to a concern they have expressed, rather than a benefit you assume they want.

03

Vision and Credibility

Make a different future visible and trustworthy.

What could change for them? What evidence addresses the risk they would carry in taking a next step?

04

Confirmation

Leave room for meaning to become their own.

What do they now see or believe? Invite them to name the meaning in their own words, then listen for what is still unresolved.

Choose the support that serves your situation

Four Ways to Travel

The learning journey stays the same. What changes is the depth of guidance, the people involved, and the opportunity to practice together. You can start small and decide on further support as the need becomes clear.

01

Self Guided

Begin with the book and a conversation that matters to you.

Read at your own pace. Use the questions on this page to consider one person, decision, or possibility, and keep notes about what you discover. When you want help interpreting what surfaces, you can ask Louis about a focused online session.

This may fit: A personal journey you want time to explore independently.

02

Individual Coaching

Make room to think, practice, and refine with a guide.

Begin with a complimentary 30-minute exploration call about the situation in front of you. If further work would help, discuss paid coaching sessions shaped around your needs. Bring a presentation, a sales conversation, a difficult decision, or a story about yourself you are reconsidering.

This may fit: An important conversation that would benefit from curiosity, rehearsal, and candid feedback.

03

Team Development

Give people shared language and room to practice together.

Facilitated online or in-person sessions can center on one shared challenge or several individual journeys. Explore what your audience believes, make different interpretations visible, and practice conversations with feedback from the people working alongside you.

This may fit: A sales team, project group, or community preparing to communicate something important.

04

Leadership and Culture

Examine the story people experience through your leadership.

Work individually or with a leadership team to explore the distance between stated values and lived experience. Look at what people see rewarded, protected, tolerated, and repeated—and what new evidence could make a different story credible.

This may fit: Leaders facing a gap between the culture they intend and the culture people experience.

What working together can look like

Practice with the situation in front of you.

An individual may rehearse an important presentation and discover that the opening answers a question the audience never asked. A sales team may learn to listen for the concern beneath a requirement. A leader may find that a new message needs a change in behavior before people can trust it.

We begin with the people and the belief already present, prepare a possible approach, and use conversation and feedback to refine it. The aim is a more thoughtful next step you can actually take.

Sometimes a conversation needs a guide.

A complimentary 30-minute exploration call gives us room to understand your situation and consider what support would be useful. If further coaching makes sense, we can discuss the scope and fees together.
